About our founder:
Victoria Preston, principal, has extensive knowledge of computer design
and production. Calling on her broad education in the fine arts, Victoria
creates visually memorable company identities via clean, innovative
design. Innovative design is not enough in today's business world. She
combines innovation with her knowledge of marketing and branding principles
to generate unique client identities.
Victoria has designed both for small start-ups and established professionals.
Through her experience, she has grasped the principle that clever design
involves pinpointing an organization's focus, and vision, captivating
the audience in a short time-frame, and consistently conveying that
vision through a cohesive set of visual representations.
In addition to her work as a designer, Victoria has a strong involvement
in the fine arts, and maintains a working studio. She has a keen interest
in history, and has amassed a significant number of 19th century ephemera.
About our Logo
Definition:
Brandish; "to display ostentatiously", "to wave
or to flourish" .
To display ostentatiously-
It's no surprise that the word "brandish" contains the word
"brand" as its prefix. If we consider the nature of the word
"brand", we see that it's meaning encapsulates the differentiation
of oneself (or one's business) from the competition via multiple media
types (i.e. logo, tagline).
To wave or to
flourish-
Brandish is also defined as "to wave or to flourish". The
icon portion of the logo (the red diagonal marks) is a literal representation
of this definition.
